Tony Sass

With more than 16 years’ Executive leadership at a Melbourne based Family Office, Tony has successfully overseen the establishment and management of a variety of operating companies across a broad range of property and financial services interests.

 

In his capacity as Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of Oreana Property Group, Tony has delivered wide-ranging property projects from boutique residential developments, through to large-scale mixed-use commercial developments equating to the successful delivery of over 1 billion dollars of high-quality property projects across Australia.

 

As part of Oreana Group’s diversification and growth strategy, Tony lead the acquisition of National Australia Banks Private Wealth Advisory capability in Asia which has now been integrated into the Oreana Group’s Financial Services company.

 

An innovative and entrepreneurial leader, Tony’sresponsibilities at Oreana include the strategic leadership and direction the Oreana Group’s Asia Pacific growth and diversification strategy as well as management and oversight of Oreana Property Group’s strategy, performance and operational excellence.

Steven Sass

Over a career spanning more than 14 years within the property companies of the family office, Steven has developed a deep understanding of the full property cycle, from site acquisition to construction, development, delivery and sales & marketing.

 

As Co-Founder and Co-Managing Director of Oreana Property Group, Steven combines this keen insight with a strong collaborative approach to partner with both internal and external parties to manage large and complex teams and has overall responsibility for major development projects across the residential, commercial, retail, civil infrastructure and educational sectors bridging both wholly owned and joint venture projects.

 

Steven’s significant market experience and strong business acumen provides valuable input to Oreana Group strategy and is closely involved in the execution and management of the Asia Pacific growth plan.

Luke Moore

Luke has over 16 years’ experience in financial services. He has extensive investment management and wealth advisory experience having held senior roles within a number of top-tier firms in both Australia and Hong Kong.

 

From 2009 to 2015 Luke worked with National Australia Bank with his most recent role being the Head of NAB Private Wealth Advisory in Asia. In this role, Luke had responsibility for the strategic direction, leadership and management of the firm and was a member of the NAB Hong Kong leadership team with accountability for the delivery and expansion of the Private Wealth capability in Asia.

 

Prior to this role, Luke held senior positions within NAB’s Global Asset Management business (a wealth management capability with more than $170 Billion in Funds under Management) and was key to delivering strategies and insights to the market. In this role, Luke developed a deep practical understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction and delivering advice to high net worth investors.

 

Before joining NAB, Luke held various roles with Goldman Sachs JBWere, Vanguard Investments and a boutique property and infrastructure firm in Melbourne, Australia.

Jonathan Christie

Jonathan has 16 years Banking and Wealth Management experience across the UK and Australia. Most of his experience has been with National Australia Bank & JB Were which has provided a deep understanding of Private Banking, Investments, Superannuation & Financial Planning.

 

In his final role at NAB; General Manager Wealth Services NAB Private, Jonathan was responsible for Wealth Advice, Markets, Foreign Exchange and Trustee Services for NAB’s most complex families and clients. The business advised over 6000 families and individual managing $6 Billion in Funds Under Management.

 

Prior to this Jonathan was responsible for NAB Private Banking in NSW, covering 160 bankers, 5000 clients with $11bn in Lending and $7 Billion in deposits.

 

Since leaving NAB, Jonathan has been advising businesses in the Wealth Management sector, most notably supporting a Global Insurers proposal to acquire ANZ’s Wealth Management Business.

 

Jonathan has held several Board & Committee positions during his career including the Chair of Caribe Asset Management Board, Chair of the NAB Private Investment Committee and Member of the National Australia Trustee Board.

 

 

Patrick Au-Yeung

Patrick Au-Yeung joined Oreana Financial Services in June 2015 as the Head of Oreana Asset Management with responsibility for strategic partnerships as well as product and the operational functions within the business.

 

Patrick has been in financial services since 1999 and joins Oreana from Ascalon, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westpac Banking Corporation. At Ascalon, Patrick was responsible for developing robust operational frameworks for boutique investment managers including product and marketing strategy, as well as establishing and running of each boutique’s collective investment schemes in Australia and overseas.

 

Prior to Ascalon, Patrick was a founder of Global Wealth Allocation Asset Management (Australia), where he launched smart beta strategies targeted to retail and high net worth investors and developed quantitatively based investment strategies to institutional clients. Before this, Patrick held various roles with Goldman Sachs JBWere and BT Investment Management.

 

With a passion for finance, Patrick has developed his asset management knowledge throughout his career and is passionate about offering best of breed investment solutions to clients.

Dr Isaac Poole

Dr Isaac Poole recently joined Oreana as the Chief Investment Officer.

 

Isaac has significant experience in the financial sector with a career spanning across central banking, risk management, asset allocation and investment consulting in major firms in Australia, the UK and Hong Kong.

 

Prior to joining Oreana, Isaac worked at Willis Towers Watson as the Head of Capital Markets Research in the Asia-Pacific. In this role he contributed to asset allocation decisions, macro-economic analysis and investment research for a global company with more than $107 billion in assets under management and $2.3 trillion assets under advisory. Isaac worked with institutions including major sovereign wealth funds, government agencies and pension funds. Isaac’s focus in this role was delivering asset allocation solutions to improve portfolio outcomes and returns.

 

Other prior roles include Chief Economist at NSW Treasury Corporation, tasked with debt financing and investment management for the NSW Government, and Manager of Economic Risk at Lloyds Banking Group, the largest retail bank in Britain. These roles had a heavy emphasis on delivering returns within a robust risk management framework.

 

Isaac holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sydney in NSW, Australia. Isaac’s PhD developed economic theory and quantitative methods to analyse optimal mechanisms in key financial markets in Australia including government bond auctions and the Australian housing market. Isaac has also studied at the University of Oxford in the UK and the University of Tasmania in Australia.

Paul Bourchier

Paul has over 20 years property industry experience having held various senior client based roles both in Australia and overseas. The majority of his recent work has involved the planning, design, leasing and development of retail and mixed-use assets and he has gained a wealth of experience overseeing developments from conception through to completion.

 

Paul spent six years employed as a Development Manager for Centro Properties Group, ultimately gaining joint responsibility for the National Development Team with a project pipeline valued in excess of $1b. He has also worked in the Middle East as a Senior Development Manager for the highly regarded Majid Al Futt aim Properties, developers of projects such as Mall of the Emirates (Ski Dubai) and the Mirdif City Centre.

 

During his career, Paul has had direct involvement in developments valued in excess of $3b and personally overseen the delivery of more than 20 major projects as the responsible Development Manager. In addition to his specific development experience Paul has also held roles in property finance, asset management and funds management, rounding out his broader industry knowledge.
